Rescue a hit with audiences
Since the film opened this summer, we have had anecdotal evidence from theater directors about audience appreciation of the film. We now have confirmation. A recently (August) concluded audience survey at Saint Louis Science Center and Tampa Bay MOSI gave RESCUE exceptionally high marks. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest, RESCUE got a mean score of 8.8, with 84% rating the film excellent (8, 9 or 10). Other highlights include 84% very likely or likely to recommend the film to a friend, and 76% rating it an “above average” IMAX documentary. The high marks were consistent across multiple demographics, including females, and parents with children aged 6-11.

“This is a true 3D film, shot with the wide format IMAX cameras, capturing the images of the rescuers in vivid and appropriate detail. The pictures actually thrill rather than annoy and there is no loss of story or field of reference. This film is why the current 3D format was invented.”
